קרן האמנות של עמותת מידברן מזמינה אמנים ויוצרות להגיש מועמדותם לתמיכה ביצירת המיצב המרכזי של מידברן 2025 – מרחב הטמפל.

מרחב הטמפל הוא הלב הפועם של העיר הזמנית של קהילת הברן. זהו מקום לטקסים, לחיבור, לחיפוש, לשאלה והכוונה.

מרחב הטמפל הינו פתוח לפרשנות, לתוכן מתהווה, להוויה קהילתית ומזמין אותנו להתכנס, להביט פנימה ולצאת ממנו עם כוחות מחודשים.

מרחב הטמפל נבנה ונוצר עבור קהילה הברן, על ידי יוצרות/ים המקדישות/ים עצמם לטובת הכלל.

לאורך השנים קיבל מרחב הטמפל ביטויים שונים, פרשנות שונה, וזאת בזיקה להתפתחות הקהילה והתמה השנתית: יער הבריאה – 2014 "בראשית", מקדש האחד – 2015 "התעלות", מקדש ההשתקפות – 2016 "אבראכאדברא", היכל החלום השמיימי – 2017 "חלום צלול", המצפן – 2018 "סערת מוחות", Recharge - 2021 "רותם והמלאכים", Beyond - 2022. 

כל מרחב הטמפל עבר ייצג נאמנה את הפרשנות של היוצר/ת לקהילה בנקודת הזמן הספציפית והיווה אבן שואבת וזיכרון נעים.

קריטריונים:

• מצופה מהמגיש/ה להציג יכולת מוכחת להתמודד עם כלל ההיבטים התכנוניים והביצועים של פרויקט מהותי זה. 

•  

• היבטים מהותיים שיש להתייחס אליהם בהגשה כוללים: ניהול תקציב, גיוס מימון נוסף (במידת הצורך), בטיחות, הנדסה, נגישות, כוח אדם, ניהול מתנדבות/ים, צוות בנייה, אתר עבודה, ציוד, כלים, ניהול שריפה ועוד. כל זאת, לאורם של עשרת עקרונות הברן.

•  

• עדיפות תינתן לבעלי ניסיון מוכח בפרויקטים בסדר גודל זהה, אשר יציגו יכולת ביצוע וזיקה עמוקה לתרבות הברן.
   

•  .המגיש/ה יתבקשו להציג גישה הוליסטית ופרקטית המחברת בין התמה "ויהי אור" לערכים, לחוויה ולתרבות הברן הישראלית.

• ?מאיפה נובע הרצון לבנות אותו?  למה דווקא טמפל?"

• .

• המגיש/ה יתבקשו להציג תוכנית אשר תעודד את עקרון השתתפות בקרב קהילת הברן, תוכנית אשר תחזק את החיבור של הקהילה והזיקה ליצירה מרכזית זו בכל שלבי התהליך (מהבנייה ועד השתתפות באירוע עצמו).

•  

• השנה יינתן דגש מיוחד לנושא שריפת מרחב הטמפל ולמשמעויות הנובעות ממנו. מצופה מהמגיש/ה לכלול בחזונו/ה התייחסות מעמיקה ומפורטת לנושא זה.

•  

• הזוכה יידרש/תידרש לקיים קשר ישיר ושוטף עם מחלקת האש בכל הנוגע לנושאי שריפה, עם מחלקת הבטיחות בכל הנוגע להיבטי בטיחות, ובכל יתר הנושאים בתיאום עם מחלקת האמנות והמלאכית שתלווה את הפרויקט.

• סכום התמיכה:

• סכום התמיכה הכולל בקול קורא זה: 70,000 ש"ח.

• ההחלטה תתקבל על ידי ועדה ייחודית, שתורכב ממספר חברות קרן האומנות, מנכ"ל העמותה ונציגות/ים מהקהילה.

•  

• מימוש התמיכה:

• אין לבצע רכישות או התחייבויות כספיות לפני קבלת מייל אישור רשמי.

• סכום התמיכה מיועד אך ורק לטובת התמיכה ביצירה הזוכה.

• פרטים נוספים ימסרו ליוצר/ת הנבחרים.

Call for Artists – The Temple Space - Midburn 2025.

The Midburn Art Foundation invites artists and creators to apply for support in creating the central installation of Midburn 2025 The Space/The Temple

 

The Temple Space is the beating heart of the temporary city built by the Burner community. It is a place for ceremony, connection, exploration, inquiry, and guidance. 

The Temple Space is open to interpretation, evolving content, and communal presence. It invites us to gather, to look inward, and to emerge with renewed strength. It is built and brought to life for the Burner community, by creators who dedicate themselves to the benefit of the whole.

 

Over the years, The Temple Spacehas taken on many forms and interpretations, each reflecting the evolution of the community and the annual theme:

The Forest of Creation – 2014 “Genesis”.

The Temple of Oneness – 2015 “Transcendence”.

The Temple of Reflection – 2016 “Abracadabra”.

The Celestial Dream Hall – 2017 “Lucid Dream”.

The Compass – 2018 “Brainstorm”.

Recharge – 2021 “Rotem and the Angels”.

Beyond – 2022

Zen Garden - 2024

Each version of The Temple Space faithfully represented the artist’s unique interpretation of the community at that particular moment in time

 

 

Criteria:

• Applicants are expected to demonstrate proven ability to manage all planning and execution aspects of this significant project. These aspects include: budget management, additional fundraising (if necessary), safety, engineering, accessibility, manpower, volunteer coordination, build crew management, worksite operations, equipment and tools, fire management, and more. All of this must be carried out in close coordination with the Midburn Art Department and guided by the Ten Principles of Burning Man.

• Preference will be given to those with proven experience in projects of similar scale, who can demonstrate both execution capabilities and a deep connection to Burner culture.

• Applicants will be asked to present a holistic and practical approach that connects the theme “Let There Be Light” with the values, experience, and culture of the Israeli Burner community.

• Applicants will also be expected to propose a plan that fosters the principle of participation within the Burner community, a plan that strengthens the community’s engagement and connection to this central creation throughout all stages of the process (from the build to participation in the event itself).

• This year, special emphasis will be placed on the burning of The Temple Space and all that it entails. Applicants are expected to address this aspect in detail as part of their vision.

• The Space Team will maintain direct communication with the Fire Department regarding all fire-related matters, with the Safety Department regarding all safety issues, and with the Art Department and their assigned “Art Angel” for all other aspects of the project.

 

Funding Amount:

• The total support available through this call for proposals is 70,000 NIS.

• The selection will be made by a dedicated committee composed of members of the Midburn Art Fund, the Association’s CEO, and representatives from the community.

 

Implementation of Funding:

• No purchases or financial commitments may be made prior to receiving an official approval email.

• Further details will be provided to the selected artist.
